Ok, first off; I am pro-choice. The way I see it, it’s my body, my rules, I do what I want with it. If I want new bits, I’ll add them. If I want bits taken out, I’ll take them out.

Ok, now~ I’ve heard a few people on the interwebs try to steer away from the whole abortion thing by saying “Why not have the baby, and put it up for adoption?”
Here is my opinion on that.

If you’ve, say, gotten pregnant accidentally, whilst on birth-control or something [and it happens! Nothing is 100% effective, apart from abstinence]. If you are young [say, 16 to 18] and it’s your first pregnancy, and/or you are not capable of raising that child in a healthy and happy home [either due to financial issues, or your own personal and mental health*]; you may not want to go through being pregnant; which I have heard and can only imagine is a horrible stress on your body, just to give the child away. Forgive me if this sounds selfish, but going through all that stress and strain just to give up your child, sounds like hell.

Also, I have nothing against adoption, at all. However, there are SO MANY children out there who are still without parents or guardians, who still need to be given homes. This is a worldwide issue. I do not believe in girls and women [young or old] being pressured into keeping unplanned and unwanted children when there are so many children who are still not being adopted.

To summarize lazily; is it really your business to tell other people what to do with their bodies, their uterus, or their DNA? Nope. So, mind your own damn business, and if you’re so keen on adoption, remember how many thousands of children are still orphaned.

*I say this, because I suffer with depression, anxiety, and I can only just look after myself right now; I would rather know that I can look after both myself and a small human being.
